This Easter has been more lonely than most but I am enjoying it despite me being alone. This Easter morning I opened my Bible casually hoping to read something related to the first Easter. People would call it coincidence but my Bible fell open to 1 Corinthians 15. It is about the resurrection of Christ and Paul teaches about why resurrection is central to Christian faith. All these years I have celebrated Easter and I have never really worried about the implications. I know Christ rose from the dead and He lives. I know someday He will raise us from the dead. However, I never really meditated on the thought. I meditated on the chapter for sometime and finished my prayer casually. Then I went to the church to attend the Easter service. And guess what was read today in the church? 1 Corinthians 15:14. I was genuinely happy. I know it might sound silly and useless… but to me it matters a lot. It was as if God took time to deliver the Easter message to me, in person 🙂 Oh! I so love Him!
This is the Easter Message that God gave me personally,
Death could not hold Him. The grave could not contain Him. He is risen and He reigns!!! Because He is risen, one day, we will raise from the dead too. Our loved ones who are dead and long gone will raise from the dead too. We will have a new body.. a resurrected body and we will live with the Lord forever. We are not believing in Christ for this world alone. If we believed in Christ only for this world, then we are to be more pitied than anyone else in this world. We believe in Christ for this life and for our life after death. If Christ did not raise from the dead, then our faith is futile, useless, rubbish. But if He did raise from the dead, then He will raise us from the dead too.
And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. – 1 Corinthians 15:14
This is the Easter Message. If you have lost a loved one, don’t fret, it is just the beginning of a new life for your loved one. If you are afraid of death itself, don’t fret, we do not die at all, if we believe in the Resurrected Christ. We have Hope and Christ is the HOPE. Happy Easter!
